Otaku ♥ OTACOOL. An audience with Danny Choo.

I am surrounded by friends and family who all share a love and an appreciation of the Japanese trends or shall i call it culture of  anime, manga and video games.
I have been fortunate enough to meet one of the kings that opened the door to 'Otaku'? Danny Choo. Are you excited to read more?
This image from http://blog.japantimes.co.jp/ pretty much conjures up the life of Danny Choo.  Yes, I know, you are entitled to be jealous. He makes geek, very chic! (aswell as his father, a shoe god who I won't mention since Danny is not keen on names dropping *humble*)

So here is a  quick synopsis of the who where, why and when (almost) Danny Choo for those who do not know him yet. As written on his website www.dannychoo.com, Danny resides in Tokyo and writes about life in Japan and Japanese pop culture which includes anime, figurines, dolls, cosplay, games and everything else that comes under the genre. dannychoo.com is regularly featured in web, print and broadcast media such as CNN, BBC and G4TV.
To sum it up in a quick sentence I try not to sound sycophantic but that is the only sentence, I say 'He is the Choo of Cool, Otacool'.

Danny is regularly invited to speak at conferences around the world on the subject of his specialty Otaku and Consumer Generated Media. I am grateful to have met him at the School of Oriental and African Studies where he graduated. Danny returned to SOAS to deliver a very inspiring talk and to share his experiences with an audience that included fans, followers, students and friends.

Danny talks about licensing of Mirei-san Merchandise. Available on http://www.dannychoo.com/
Check out the mouse pad I'm sure those who use alot of wrist action with the RPGs and computings will appreciate the pneumatic cushioning feature *winks*
Choo talks about his 2nd publication of the book 'OTACOOL' which derives from himself  delivering the message that  'Otaku is cool' where fans and followers send in their photos and if the pass the bodacious coolsomeness test, they get their very own page. Read more here
Technical hitches at the talk. I am sad and tweet about this as it happens in real time. Twitter: TheMadameMoi
A favourite amongst my friends, especially the boys, Japanese anime robot Gundam.

Contact info. Follow his story, he is truly an inspiration.

Oliver's involvement in telling the story
Fashionaires writes, 'The Power Is Not In The Sword' A technique that is used is to emotionally dissarm your opponent's defences. The sword is there just for seduction of pleasure, its wielding cold steel that makes a man fantasize his twisted pleasure. The weapon of her choice is unveiling her natural beauty that no man has ever set eyes on before. It is a powerful gesture that gives pleasure without touch. Time is running out and he only has 4.5 seconds to live. Image courtesy of Fashionaires.
Its Not Always What It Seems. Over confidence and arrogance are a bad qualities, believing that you are in control of the situation in front of you is totally misguided. Revenge is sweet. Image courtesy of Fashionaires.
